Community Projects
Our work to highlight the issues of Bullying affecting mental health have been rewarded with the award of Most sustainable project by Lancashire Minds.
Cardinal Allen High School students work tirelessly within our community. We are involved in many projects around the Fleetwood area. Recently our students have been involved with the 'Larkholme for All' initiative developing links with the Wyre Disability centre and are working with Fleetwood council looking after planters in the town. Our students have taken a significant role in the Fleetwood Hospital redevelopment, love my beach and Healthy Fleetwood initiative.
Our community IT group meet every Tuesday 3.05- 4.05pm. Unfortunately due to the nature of COVID, our sessions are currently suspended. These sessions normally involve our students working along with older members of the community to work on projects that develop their IT skills. This year we have worked on the following projects; Memories a dementia awareness project, My Favourite Country an International awareness project e-mailing and Coding, IT development projects Fleetwood history, a community project.
We are always looking for new members. If you know of anyone who may benefit from some IT training or just wishes to work on a project with our students contact Mr Harding
Our Interact group are linked with North Fylde Rotary Club. We get involved with many campaigns to help local and international charities. Recent campaigns include helping the issue of youth homelessness in our area through annual sleepovers and collections. We have raised money to buy disabled children in Nepal sensory toys following a fancy dress walk and sponsored search dogs to help the koalas affected by the Australian bush fires by running a Koala disco. The group meet every Monday lunchtime.
